I’m NOT Not Feeling You Getting Gully Wesley Clark

From yesterday’s” Face the Nation”:

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: … [John McCain] was a hero to me and to hundreds of thousands and millions of others in Armed Forces as a prisoner of war. He has been a voice on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and he has traveled all over the world. But he hasn’t held executive responsibility… He hasn’t seen what it’s like when diplomats come in and say, ‘I don’t know whether we’re going to be able to get this point through or not. Do you want to take the risk? What about your reputation? How do we handle it-’

Bob Schieffer: I have to say, Barack Obama has not had any of those experiences either, nor has he ridden in a fighter plane and gotten shot down. I mean-

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well, I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be President.

Bob Schieffer: Really?!

I’m sure everyone’s gonna be all like, “I can’t believe he’s attacking McCain’s military record,” but that’s stupid. Getting shot out of plane DOESN’T make someone a good president.

I’m Not Feeling You Faceless Cat

My fey friends at feyfriends.com recently brought this to my attention.

Writing a blog about your cat in the first person voice of the cat is sad and weird. When that cat has no face it’s like serial killer deranged. Also, I’m pretty sure if that cat could really write a blog, every entry would just say, “kill me.” Not even because she has no face, but because she lives with people who give their cats haircuts. And blogs. Actually more ’cause she has no face.

Cat with no face must be stopped.

I’m Not Feeling You Helicopters

harold

Some helicopters crashed yesterday in Arizona. It’s sad. Do you know what the percentage of helicopter flights don’t crash? It’s like 2%. You might as well commute by catapult.

I’m Not Feeling You Vast Right Wing Conspiracy

Initially, because you’re evil, but now because you’re evil and stupid. It’s like 1984 if Big Brother had been retarded.

From Break the Terror:

The uber-right-wing American Family Association runs AP wire stories on their “news” site OneNewsNow, but they have a nasty habit of changing headlines and words in the stories to fit their own mentally stunted worldview. They don’t acknowledge that they do this, by the way. They just pass it off as “the AP story.” One word they change? “Gay.” Not content to put it in quotes like most other 3rd grade level “Christian” activists, they change the word “gay” to “homosexual,” because apparently that’s got more of a bite in the extreme right-wing Christian world. WELL, apparently their software does this automatically, because here’s their “AP wire story” about the Minnesota Timberwolves trading O.J. Mayo to the Memphis Grizzlies for Kevin Love (Good As You made a screen capture in case they change it):

I’m Not Feeling You Supreme Court Decision Overturning The Ban On Handguns

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Look, I love the Constitution, but it seems kind of tragic to allow people to shoot each other in the face over a question of grammar:

“The amendment’s prefatory clause announces a purpose, but does not limit or expand the scope of the second clause,” wrote Justice Scalia. “The operative clause’s text and history demonstrate that it connotes an individual right to keep and bear arms.”

I really do hate me some Scalia.
