I’m Not Sure Whether Or Not I’m Feeling You “Where The Wild Things Are” Movie

I love this book the most. More than you.

But I feel like it’s so made for me to like it with the Spike Jones and the wistful bittersweet view of childhood, and the Dave Eggers, and the whole thing dipped in Indie Rock, that I have to hate it ’cause, you know, I hate being called predictable.

But then also, I really do kind of like all those things (except for Dave Eggers… eh even Dave Eggers I kind of like). Especially when they’re dipped in Indie Rock. So I don’t know. Does this look good to you?

I guess what I’m really saying is, “inside all of us is fear.” Oh wait, now that I know what it feels like to type that, I hate this movie.

  1. Come back from Korea and see this movie with me, damn it.

  2. “We’ll eat you up, we love you so.”

  3. Two things:
    1. Why did the preview make me cry? Manipulative fuckers.
    2. Who cast Tony Soprano in this film?

  4. I did. To make you cry.

  5. …and Max said: NO!

This made me cry as well. Though I also cried through the first 10 minutes of the Fellowship of the Ring because the Shire looked exactly the same way it always looked in my brain. So I guess it doesn’t take much. Oh please, oh please, oh please…
