I’m Not Feeling You Presents: The Friday Download

If you’re like me, then whether or not you knew it, all your life, you were only waiting for this Kool Keith/Tom Waits collabo to arrive. Doesn’t it sound like the champion drunks from two very different neighborhoods talking at each other in a piano bar? Yes it does.

It’s from N.A.S.A.’s Spirit of Apollo album which comes out 2/17/09. Among others, it features Method Man, RZA, Kanye, Karen O., Kool Keith, Tom Waits and I’m predicting it’ll be blasting out of every dorm room and cool-but-not-too-cool bar in the northeast by end of March… I’m downloading all the tracks I can now so I can hear it before my brain starts associating it with annoying cocktails and kids that wear cowrie beads.

I’m Not Feeling You Presents: The Friday Download

Blitzen Trapper are a good band, Furr is a good song/album which you should buy, and oh, here’s something about me: I like songs where the people turn into animals.

If you do one thing today, watch this video through to where there’s a close-up of the curly haired dude, it’s like he’s never seen light before. Also one of the other dudes is playing the bird pipe and I’m all about that.

The recorded version (though sans bird pipe) is better.

If surf rock was chocolate and dancehall was peanut butter then this is what a Reeses Peanutbutter Cup would sound like.  Except instead of Reeses, it was made by Bosco Delrey and instead of being all dry and powdery inside, it features 77Klash. The song is called “Round N Round” and you can’t eat it.

I’m Not Feeling You Presents: The Friday Download

I’ve never been to Huntsville, Alabama, but apparently it’s made out of awesomeness. When the Diplo/Paper Route mixtape came out and it was my favorite thing to listen to, I was all like these dudes rap amazing, props to them for letting Diplo put them over all this terrible/wonderful 90s Eurotechno or whatever that shit is, but then, THEN, I caught this G-Side song over at Dutty Artz and it’s not produced by Diplo and it’s also awesome, and the track is all about a terrible/wonderful 90s Eurotechno sample, because I guess that’s just how they do in Hunts Vegas. Why? ‘Cause they’re made out of awesome? Oh and guess what they rap over when they can’t find any terrible/wonderful 90s Eurotechno or whatever? That’s right, they rap over Weezer.

What I’m trying to say is A) Huntsville = Huge in two thousand fine. B) I like rap that was made in outer-space.

Word to:

Mad Decent

Dutty Artz
